For my family, these are tradition to eat on New Year’s Eve. Don’t let the ingredients scare you, they are good!

Ingredients
- 1 pound sauerkraut drained, washed and chopped fine
- 1 pound ground chuck or sirloin
- 1/2 cup mashed potatoes
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1 medium onion grated in food processor
- 2 tablespoons flour
- Italian seasoned or plain bread crumbs

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix all ingredients. Roll into walnut size balls. Then roll balls in Italian seasoned or plain bread crumbs.
- Bake until cooked through, approximately 20 minutes.
Recipe Notes
Once cooked these can be refrigerated or frozen. To reheat bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Serve with your favorite cocktail sauce.
Deep Fry Method: Deep fry in 325 degrees for 3-4 minutes. If using a small fryer, do 12 at a time.
