- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine flour and salt in medium-size bowl. Cut in shortening.
- Place egg and vinegar in 1/2-cup measuring cup; add enough water to fill cup to top. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture; mix well.
- Divide dough in half. Roll out 1/2 dough on floured surface. Fit pastry loosely onto bottom and sides of 10-inch pie plate. Trim 1/2 to 1 inch beyond edge; fold under and flute. Repeat process for remaining dough.
- Prick bottom and sides if baking unfilled pastry shell.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden.
